The apparent and straightforward reality that the Savior of the gospels advocates for a form of extreme compassion focused on the needy has consistently rendered Christianity rather a controversial faith: engaging for the general public, but owing to its inherent radicalness demanding to be controlled. In the fifties it was restrained through watering down – The Protestant faith was so widespread that it basically sanctified existing conditions.
